My favorite movie character is Dori from “Finding Nemo.” Non slapstick comedic quality is a challenging voice to master. Although several actors have successfully accomplished this, they are just that: actors. Though I generally prefer non-cartoons, something about Dori's character seems to exemplify comic timing, eccentricity, and an individualism that demands respect (even if it is displaced as a dislike). Dori sticks out, a natural blue who never ate a fish, can’t remember a name to save her life, speaks humpback, and loves to swim. I love her because of her talents, her short-comings, and because she wants to remember; wants to improve. She does all of this while maintining a goal of the utmost importance–one that even she can remember. She makes people happy by just being herself.
